2. What do you think happens to the shadow child if the money is paid?

I would rather be caught so I won't have to be poor and die of starvation.
ReplyDeleteIf the money is paid the child will be orphaned to another family with one child or none
1. If my family was rich like Jen's, I would rather pay the $5,000,000 because I would not want to be killed when my family can pay the money off.
ReplyDelete2. I think if the money is paid, the family would keep the child, but have to live by the government's orders and do what they want when they want.
Courtney, we know Jen is rich but is he that rich that they can spare $5 million?
ReplyDelete1. If I had the money, I would pay. If I was caught and I didn't pay, then not only I would be punished but my family too.
ReplyDelete2. I think if the money is paid, they either will let you go and live a normal life, or they will secretely kidnap you, and kill the kid. The judge might be in a worse mood if you have to pay $5 million because they will also kill you.
Jason,
ReplyDeleteYes, her family is that rich. She said that they are Barons or really rich people so they would be able to pay it off.
Courtney, on your response to Jason, you have to keep in mind that as we guessed on previous blogs that it takes place from about 1940-1970. Back then even the really rich people probably didn't have that money. The reason why they make it $5 million is because they don't want anyone to be able to pay it off.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to look up what Barons are.
ReplyDeleteThey are very wealthy people.
Stephen-excellent point. The value of a dollar has changed greatly. I didn't think of that. Thanks!:)

ReplyDelete1. I would pay off the 5 million dollars instead of giving up my life because there is a law that says you are not allowed to be a third child. I know that 5 million dollars is an incredibly huge amount of money, but I would pay it off throught the years.
ReplyDelete2. After the money is paid the shadow children will be able to live free with out worrying about being caught.
Stephen,
ReplyDeleteI completley agree with what your response to Courtney's was, 5 million dallars was a lot more than what it is worth now.
I would rather pay 5,000,000 dollars than be caught as a shadow child. Of course it is a lot of money, but you will be able to get back to the way things were before. You will find some way to make money, but if you are caught as a shadow child you will be killed and that will never ever be able to change. Once your gone, your gone forever.
ReplyDeleteIf the money is paid I think that the child will go to a foster home. It will probably be taken to a family with 0 or 1 child.
ReplyDeleteI would rather pay the 5 million dollars because then if your caught a shadow child you will be killed and never again return. But you can raise money and still keep yoru life.
ReplyDeleteIf the money is paid I believe the child will either go to an orphanage or hoem with 1 or 0 children present.
If I was a baron like Jen I would pay the 5,000,000. I would be rich and not care. But of I was poor like Luke's family I would rather get caught. If i was poor and paid my family would starve and if I was caught I would die instead of my entire family.
ReplyDeleteIf the money is paid the child is probably sent away somewhere else. Like to an orphanege or a foster family. Somewhere where they will never be caught.
If my family were Barons like Jen's and we had the money, I'd rather pay it off because If I were caught, I'd probably be killed. But if my family didn't have the money, I'd rather be caught. Because, like Gabby said, better me dead than my whole family.
ReplyDeleteThe shadow kids probably get sent to an orphanage, or a family with one or no children.
