The Seems 7

1. Becker Drane's view of The World has been altered since his introduction to The Seems. What evidence can you find of this change?

  1. The evidence that you find of this is that before he works at the seems, he doesn't give a single thought to most simple things. After he works at the seems, he gives a thought to everything.
    Example:
",and there were the leaves on the leaves, freshly painted red from the department of nature,"Becker thought.

  2. I meant "leaves on the trees", not "leaves on the leaves", by the way.

  3. 1-A: Becker, at first, thought of the World as a place with living things, the only place for living things. But when he was introduced to the Seems he started thinking about how there is another little "world" that controls the World he was brought up in. His mind changed thinking, and his view of the World was drastically changed.

  4. 1. A~ Becker was born in the world, grew up in the world, was taught how the world worked, knew how the world worked, and then everything changed when he was introduced to the Seems because the Seems controlled the world he knew and loved so now he has to adjust to the new lifestyle he brought to.

  5. 1.Becker was born in the normal wold, until he was introduced to The Seems. After that he learned how the world kept it's color and life.

  6. Collin, I think you should give more evidence and examples. I see what you mean, but only just. Just elaborate more.

  7. I was going to say the same thing as you Derek! Collin you need to give a bit more detail and more evidence, Just extend it a little. Did you ever think if Becker was a girl how that would of changed the story??

  8. What I find is that Becker dicovers that everything that he new about how the world works was wrong. The evidence I find is when he goes to the department of sleep and he sees that all of the people in the world can't sleep because of the glitch.

  9. Kind of IRONIC, huh, Kaci? You said the same thing to me in the other comments, and I said that to Collin right before you were going to.

  10. When Beaker was introduced to the he saw the world in a whole new prospective. As Derek said about the painted leaves on the trees from the department of nature. But what they didn't say in the book that I would think of is the rain coming out of the clouds and someone cuing the thunder and lightning. As an added example, if you see a play and then help make the same one and see it again you notice how the actors/actresses change costumes and were the actors go when they go of stage. (the play is our every day lives, the weather, nature, and sleep.

  11. one of the changes becker has of the world is that he knows that there is a 7th sence because he is a fixer.

  13. Wow, Kaci, I was thinking of that too! What if Becker was a girl? It would really impact the story. Do you think it would impact the relationship with Benjamin because then it would be a sister and a brother? It might impact the way Becker thought of the Seems too.

  16. Ben-Nice job pulling in literary vocabulary such as literal and figurative language. Both of those concepts can be found in your LIterary Elements Reference Guide or on Google.

  17. When I read your responses, I see an intertwining of ideas. It is like as soon as someone is about to post, someone else posts a similar idea to what they were going to post. You are coming together as a group young jedis. Now it is time to branch out and really make each other think.

  20. Becker used to sweat the big stuff in the "world" which is normal, but once in the seems he learned no to.
