  17. All sciencefiction pieces usually have at least one thing in common. This could include travel in space and planents, superhero's, and travel in time. One thing that all sciencefiction have in common is that it hints that what is happening could possibly come true sometime. One example could be Star Wars. This is sciencefiction because it has travel through time and space, and it could possibly come true if the technology was made.

  25. 3-Answer: Many science fiction pieces have to do with technology, technology conquering humans, or aliens. Anything like this would be science fiction.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 4-Answer: Stars Wars, Superman, and The Incredible Hulk are all science fiction works. These are science fiction and not fantasy because there is some chance of them being real. Star Wars is in another galaxy- could be true. Superman has kryptonite as a weakness- he has a weakness so he is not indestructable.
Hulk's powers were brought to him by science- he was not born with them. This makes all of them sci-fi.

  27. 3-A: Most science fiction is related to technology in some way. Whether it is technology gone bad (destroying life), all the way to other life-forms using technology for something evil or supernatural. (aleins, robots)
4-A: War of the worlds is one example of a science fiction peice because it won't happen (that we know of) but it is so realistic that it seems like it will. Another example is Star Wars because from what we know there is no other galaxy with humans and other animals but the story again makes it realistic.

  34. I think genre is what category the book falls under categorized by the similarities and form and style. Like for instance non-realistic and realistic fiction. Not realistic is similar to realistic fiction because one is not real and the other is could be true.

  35. Science fiction genre is something that is usually not based in this time period. It is something that could happen but usually involving supernatural things.

    ReplyDelete
  43. i do agree with griffin when he states it can be anything the author wants it to be. it isnt always tht an author gets to make every decision by him/herself. usually the editor or some one helps them make the choices.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Alex, I think that is what makes up some science fiction stories. But Some stories could have a chance to be real, I mean like back to the Future. In the future someone could invent a time machine, go back in time and screw things up! Badly!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I agree with Connely when he says that the invention could be a major but it's not always the problem. No offense Sierra.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I agree with what Connely said but the editor doesn't help or fix the writing that much. I thing all the editors do is check for grammar.
