  1. I think that the blog was pretty good for our learning and comprehending the novels. I can now ask high level thinking questions to my peers and understand the books text in a new way.

  3. I think that the blog was a good learning tool. I was able to really get into the book and ask questions I didn't know I could. In the future, blogging should be used on every book a class reads together.

  6. The blogging was a good idea to get our thinking going about our books. Once we read the books we sort of understand what we read but then when we answer the questions we fully understand. The blog was very succsessful in making sure I knew what i was reading. I gained the answers to a bunch of questions and thoughts that never came to mind.

  9. I think that the blog is the best thing to do for a book is a blog. It teaches us how to respond thoughtfully to other peoples thoughts and how to us the computer age. This was very successful because I learned those two things. I need to know how to use the computer in middle school.

  10. Devon, the knowledge that I am talking about is what I saw about real life and this book, but I never would of saw it without this communication. The technology is simple, you saw it when we were setting up the blogs in writing, we all knew how to do it, but no one else did.

  11. The blog is teaching us technology skills and we get to think about the book in a new way. I learned the technique of blogging and I also learned more about the book I read from reading other people's interpretations. The blog helped me understand the book a little better.

  12. Everyone~

Do you think that a blog would work for every book we read in honors or school?

  13. This taught us technical skills, and let us learn what other people were thinking about something everybody had different thoughts about. I gained knowledge I thought wasn't very important, but after this I really thought it was a great idea and something everyone could do. I think it was a success.

  14. Jane, I do think that a blog would work for all the books we read in class. It's a simple way for kids to interact without having to be at school, and it lets kids see what their fellow classmates think about something they may think differently of.

  15. I think that the blog was a very good learning tool. It let us debate our feelings after school was over. It was engaging because we got to express our feelings in deep thinking questions. I enjoyed that. Did any one else enjoy that

  18. I found the blog one og the easiest and most valuable learning tool ever. It helped me express myself without having to talk to someone face to face and it was easy because I could review what other people were thinking and get ideas off them.

These were truly meaningful repsonses. I appreciate your honesty. I am THRILLED you enjoyed yourselves and learned at the same time. I appreciate all of your patience while going through this learning process with me. We had some days that were problem free and other days that were a mess! Most of you never gave up and I am really proud of you! A lot of you learned how to be problem-solvers.

I am honored to be a part of the blogs each and every one of you wants to create. Please continue to invite me to participate in your adventures with blogging. I have already been on Sierra's and I am enjoying reading what literature all of you read when you're not in class with me. I'm building my summer reading list with the help of this site. Please feel freeto comment on my other blogs and model how to answer questions for the younger kids. We are just starting one on A Wrinkle In Time.
