  1. 1. I think that the rally was a very bad idea. Even before I figured out what happened, I knew it wasn't going to work. why would the government give 40 kids what they want. It's the government we are talking about, even if they do something bad, they aren't going to fix it because it will make them look bad.
    2. I probably wouldn't have gone. As I said, I knew it would have been a failure. I would try and persuade Jen, and if I couldn't, I wouldn't go.

  2. My impressions of the rally think that in the end it was a bad idea. I think they had the right idea at first but then the rally got out of control. I most likely would have gone to get out of the house and voice my opinion.

  3. I really like the way that you said the government wouldn't fix something bad that they had done because it would make them look bad. Good job

  4. 1. I was really mortified by the results of the rally, I think the people that shot the hidden children were cruel and terrible.
    2. I have mixed opinions about going to the rally. I would have because i think that anybody should not be hidden. Also, I would not have because I would not like to be in a situation where it is extremely possible that anyone could die.

  5. 1. My impression of that rally was that it was a horrible idea and a mistake. The government wasn't going to give children what they want when they want. Government never gives anyone what they wan't, except for on occasion the Barons.

    2. I would not have gone to the rally because I would not want to be seen leaving the house by my parents. Also, I would not go because the fear of what could happen if I went is too strong.

  7. Stephen,

In concentration camps during WWII the starving, innocent prisoners were told that they were going to get showers and food beofre they went into the gas chambers. That was the first thing I thought of when I was reading about the rally and the same thing I thought of when I read your response. The thought makes me shudder.

  9. I think the rally was a horrible idea. It is apparent that most shadow kids are terrified of even the thought of going to an open window by a road! jen couldnt have expected them to get over this lifelong terror of the outside world that every aspect of regular life had put in them.Probably the 40 kids that went to the rally were exactly like jen, rich baron kids who thought nothing could happen to them. I would not have gone. it would have been way too risky.Freeing third kids is a great cause, but is it really worth getting murdered, plunging your family into debt and shame, if the rally will probably be unsucessful anyways?

  10. I personally dislike the rally. I knew that the rally would end badly. I knew it was a horrible idea but I must say I would do the same. I would want to stick up for the right I deserve. If I died I would die trying to make the world a better place. I would definatly be a good cause.

  11. I think the rally is dangerous. Although they are fighting for a good cause, I don't think that it is a good idea. Just exposing themselves. Do they really think anyone will listen? Still, I probably would go because it is a good cause and like sierra said, I would die trying. At least I would have tried to make a difference and besides, being a shadow child soesn't sound like a good life. So if I died, I would die strong.

  12. I kinda thought the rally was going to be a failure. I mean come on, 40 illegal kids come to the government and demand freedom. What do you think is going to happen? They fought for a great cause, though.

I probably would have gone. If there was enough of them, they could have made a difference. Give me liberty, or give me death!!!

  13. I think as Gabby said; the rally is very dangerous and risky. It’s 40 or so illegal "shadow children" going to the government demanding to be free. I would not go to the rally for 2 reasons. 1) It would be very dangerous and the government good punish me if I was a shadow child.2) Even though you would hate being a shadow child but you get used to it after all the years you have been hidden. I would be scared to change my days.
